WCSC teams show well in Fall League!

In the 2011 Fall over 50% of the 43 WCSC teams placed in the top three of their league standings.  That is an outstanding showing for WCSC, and represents 22 out of our 43 teams. This is up from 15 teams who finished top three in 2010.  We also had 7 teams just miss out on a top 3 finish by finishing 4th in their league!  Congratulations to the following teams:

The NorCal State Cup has concluded for all U9 & U10 teams, and for those U11-U13 teams participating in the Silver and Bronze divisions.  Congratulations to the seven WCSC teams listed below that competed in the finals of their respective divisions!

Congratulations Cyclones on an outstanding, exciting, successful and fun season.  In their first season, the Cyclones finished 2^nd in their league (Silver) with the best goal differential +25 and were the only league undefeated team.  In league and tournaments, the Cyclones had 18 wins, 5 draws and 6 defeats, shutting out the opposition 12 times while scoring 82 goals and conceding 29 (+53).  The Cyclones medaled in each of the 4 tournaments in which they competed, including the state cup.  With a great team chemistry, all 12 Cyclones players had scored at least 1 goal by mid-season and their progress as individuals and a team from start to finish was a tribute to all.

Description: This is a 7 week development academy where players will learn and enhance proper FUNdamentals of soccer trained by a professional coaching staff. The academy will provide a fun atmosphere to develop individual ball skills in the context of a team environment. Every week a different technical skill (e.g.dribbling, passing, shooting, defending) will take focus during the first hour of practice, which will be followed by a scrimmage at the end of the session.

Ages: Open to 2012 playing year U8-U14 boys and girls.

When heading out to the soccer fields, please remember that dogs are not allowed on or near any of the soccer fields!

This prohibition includes any grass areas around the fields! Dogs may be walked on leash on the paved paths around the park, but must be kept off the grass!
